Unser neuer Praktikant, Shabir Ahmed, der im Rahmen des Cross Culture Internship Programms des Instituts für Auslandsbeziehungen (ifa) seit 2 Wochen im Kunsthaus ist stellt sich nun in einem Beitrag vor.
"Hi every one, my
name is Shabir Ahmed. I am from Balochistan the largest province/state of
Pakistan with a total area of 347, 220 km and constitute 43% of country’s total
land area. I work as an Administrative Officer in Department of Culture,
Tourism and Archives, Government of Balochistan, Pakistan. The culture part of Department
is responsible to promote culture of Balochistan province by organizing
different type of culture activities. We propagate and project the distinct
cultural image of the region by organizing events such as music and dance
performances, exhibitions of painting, photography and calligraphy. We train people of Balochistan by
organizing classes of folk arts, painting and calligraphy.
The province is located at the
geographical intersection and cultural crossroads of South Asia, Central Asia,
and the Middle East. As a result, it is one of the richest areas in Pakistan in
terms of antiquities, archaeological sites, and historical archives. Our
Department is an executive agency of the Government of Balochistan which serves
as the repository for official records and documents of historical
significance. We are the guardians
of the most significant national and provincial level documents in Balochistan
province.
I am selected from Pakistan for cross
culture internship program sponsored by Institut fur Auslandsbeziehungen to
have an internship in Germany. The main objective of the program is to advocate
intercultural exchange and strengthen networks between Germany and Islamic
world. It is the opportunity of professional development and experience rich
German culture. I am currently doing my internship in Kunsthas Dahlem. I am
really having good working with nice, cooperative and supportive people of
Kunsthaus Dahlem."
